You can save PDFs directly onto SiteAssist via Sitebox. These documents must be saved to your project and can then be used as a proof for any permits or checklists by anyone who can raise them for your project.
Note: PDFs can only be uploaded to a project by a Project Admin and any documents that are used from SiteBox as a proof for a permit or checklist cannot be annotatedđ€”đŒ
Adding a PDF to a project on the web app
To save a PDF on the SiteAssist web application, You first need to log into SiteAssist and then you must:
1a. Click 'Projects'
1b. Click the Project you wish to add a PDf to
2. Click 'SiteBox' in the project menu
3a. Click 'New'
3b. Specify if you wish to create a folder for your files or if you wish to upload a file. If you select upload file, you will then need to find the file on your laptop, desktop or Mac.
You can also perform certain actions on an existing folder or a file that has been uploaded.
4a. Click the 3-dots next to the corresponding file or folder
4b. You will then see a list of options available to you based on if you selected a file or a folder.
Below are the options available for a file:
Rename: This allows you to rename the selected file
Move: This allows you to move the selected file to a folder
Copy Link: This allows you to copy a link to this file. Keep in mind, that only people with access to your project will be able to view this file.
Download: This allows you to download this file
Archive: This allows you to archive this file, which will prevent anyone from selecting this file for a proof for their permits/checklists
Below are the options available for a folder:
Edit Folder: This allows you to rename the folder
Delete: This allows you to delete the folder. You cannot delete a folder that has files in it.
Adding a PDF to a project on the mobile/ tablet app
To save a PDF on the SiteAssist mobile/tablet application, You first need to log into SiteAssist and then you must:
1. Make sure you have the correct project selected
2. Tap 'SiteBox'
3a. Tap the '+' button
Just like on the web app, you can tap the 3-dots next to a file or folder for more options
3b. Tap 'Upload File' to upload a file from your phone or tablet or 'New Folder' to create a new folder
