Sometimes, you may need to shorten your permit's duration. There is an option to do this available on the web application.
You can only shorten a permit's duration that is 'Awaiting Approval' or 'Open'⌛
Shortening the duration of an open Permit
To shorten the duration of your permit, you must:
1. Log in to the SiteAssist Web app
2a. Click the 'Projects' page
2b. Click your project
3. Find your permit. In this example, I have clicked 'Open' to view all of the open permits. (you can click the 'Open' or 'Awaiting Approval' boxes, or you can click 'Permits' on the menu on the left to find your permit)
4. Click your permit
5a. Click 'Actions' to bring up the list of available actions
Note: you will only see these options if you are the Permit Holder, the Permit Author or a User with approval permissions.
5b. Click 'Shorten Permit'
6a. Click in the 'End date & time' box to select a previous time and/or date
6b. Input the reason
6c. Click 'Submit'
You will then notice that the duration of the permit will change to reflect the newly input time and/ or date.
