How do I suspend a Permit?

As a Permit Holder, Permit Author, Permit Approver or a participant on a permit, you will be able to suspend a live permit (live being a permit that is Open or that is in the PreStart status)

A permit may be suspended for a number of reasons such as when you need the work associated with a permit to cease immediately, as an action needs to be taken in order for the works to continue.

You will be able to see when a permit has been suspended and resumed in the permit's timeline.

You can suspend a permit on the web application by following the below steps:

1. Log into your account on the web application

2. Find the permit that you wish to suspend

3. Click 'Actions'

4a. Click 'Suspend Permit'

4b. You will need to leave a reason for why you are suspending the permit

4c. [Optional] You can upload an image or document as proof if required

4d. You will then need to click 'Submit' to confirm your suspension

You can suspend a permit on the mobile application by following the below steps:

1. Log into your account on the mobile application

2. Find the permit that you wish to suspend

3. Click 'Actions'

4a. Click 'Suspend Permit'

4b. You will need to leave a reason for why you are suspending the permit

4c. [Optional] You can upload an image or document as proof if required

4d. You will then need to click 'Submit' to confirm your suspension

When you wish to unsuspend your permit, you can do so in the same way that is detailed above.

You will need to again leave a reason as to why you wish to resume the permit and can upload proof if you wish to as well.

Keep in mind if you do not have approval permissions, your request to resume/ unsuspend the permit will need to be approved.
