When a plan has been added to a location on a project, you will need to select a zone on that plan to identify the area where the work associated with the permit you are creating will take place.
This article shows you how zones can be identified on a plan on the mobile and web application. đşď¸
Selecting the location on a plan for your permit on the web app
Once a plan has been added to a project by a Project Admin, Permit Authors will then be required to identify where the work associated with their permits is taking place on an area(s) on that plan.
To identify areas on a plan for your permit, you will need to log into your account and then:
1a. Click the 'New' button
1b. Click the 'New Permit' option
2a. Fill out the permit information
2b. Select your location (plans are location dependent, so certain locations may require you to identify the areas on a plan and others may not)
Once you have selected a location that has a plan linked to it, the plan view will open (shown below)
3a. You will then be able to select the zone(s) on the shown plan, to identify where the work associated with your permit is taking place. This can be done by clicking zone(s) in the left-hand-side menu or by clicking the zone(s) directly on the plan (in the above image, the green boxes are the zones I have selected)
3b. Once you have selected your zone(s), you will need to click 'Save' to continue the permit-raising process
A confirmation box will then come up, allowing you to confirm your save
In the right-hand side menu, you can see all of the permits that are available on this plan/ If you have any zones selected, the shown permit(s) will be for those zones.
Selecting the location on a plan for your permit on the mobile app
To identify areas on a plan for your permit on the mobile app, you will need to log into your account and then:
1a. Tap the '+' button
1b. Tap 'New Permit'
2a. Fill out the permit information
2b. Tap the 'Select Zone' button (plans are location dependent, so certain locations may require you to identify the areas on a plan and others may not)
You will now see the PDF with all of the zones that a Project Admin has identified
3. You can tap 'Select Zones' or tap the zones on the PDF directly, in order to select your zones.
You will then be able to see the area(s) you have selected on the shown plan. In the below image, the purple zones on the map are the ones that have been selected.
4a. Once you are happy with the selected zone(s), you will need to tap 'Confirm'
4b. You will need to confirm once again before continuing with the raising of the permit.
You can also view all of the permits that have been raised for your selected plan (or a specific zone on a plan) by tapping 'Show Permits'.
Note: To see the Permits that have been raised for a specific zone on a plan, you will need to select the zone(s) first, before clicking 'Show Permits'.
