How to nominate a permit approver

It is possible to nominate an approver for a permit. This will send the approver a notification directly, letting them know that they have been asked to approve said permit.

A permit can only be nominated to a User or Project Admin, who has the authorisation to approve that type of permit and only if the permit requires authorisation.

If you do nominate an approver, other Users or Project Admins (with the relevant authorisation) are still able to approve the permit that has been nominated, but they will not receive any notification that the permit is awaiting approval.

You can nominate an approver for a permit that you need approved. This can be done by logging into the SiteAssist app, creating a permit and before it is sent for approval:

1. On your permits 'Summary' page, scroll to the bottom and tap 'Confirm'

2a. Tap the name of the person you wish to nominate (this list will only show the user(s) who have the authorisation to approve the selected permit type)

2b. [Optional] You can also search for the approver here.

2c. Tap 'Confirm' to send the permit for approval to the nominated approver.

2d. You can tap 'Skip' to not nominate an approver. This will notify all of the permit approvers that can approve this type of permit (depending on their notification settings)

To do this via the web platform, you must first login, create a permit and before it is sent for approval:

1. On the permits 'Review' page, scroll to the bottom and click 'Confirm'

2. Once the nominate approver box appears, click in the 'Approver' box to select an approver.

3. Once an approver has been selected, click 'Confirm'.

You can click 'Skip' to not nominate an approver. This will notify all of the permit approvers that can approve this type of permit (depending on their notification settings)
